Description

For David Goggins, childhood was a nightmare - poverty, prejudice, and physical abuse colored his days and haunted his nights. But through self-discipline, mental toughness, and hard work, Goggins transformed himself from a depressed, overweight young man with no future into a U.S. Armed Forces icon and one of the world's top endurance athletes. The only man in history to complete elite training as a Navy SEAL, Army Ranger, and Air Force Tactical Air Controller, he went on to set records in numerous endurance events, inspiring Outside magazine to name him The Fittest (Real) Man in America.

In Can't Hurt Me, he shares his astonishing life story and reveals that most of us tap into only 40% of our capabilities. Goggins calls this The 40% Rule, and his story illuminates a path that anyone can follow to push past pain, demolish fear, and reach their full potential.

Really enjoyed this book and believe there is a great deal that I have learned through Goggins sharing his experiences; much confirming what we already know, the need to push ourselves to answer the “what if!”

This book truly influenced me very much. It made me begin to examine and take ownership for my downfalls and fears. I really enjoyed the humility that David Goggins’ shared in this book. I loved the fact that it was very relatable and made me feel like I needed a healthy reality check. I prefer to hear or read things that aren’t sugar coated. Being from a military family and serving currently this book was right up my ally with a lot of lessons I’ve learned and never truly understood. Thank you for this book, I feel like it helped me in so many positive ways. I honestly hope there are more books to be written in the future as I loved this book.
  • You MUST READ THIS BOOK!

I’m keeping this short... - amazing story - you won’t want to put the book down (keeps you hooked from the beginning) - motivates you to do what you love - motivated me to get my fat ass off the couch and start exercising instead of wasting my life on social media - in conclusion I have never read a book that’s as interesting and inspiring as this one

David’s life story is gritty, tough, and raw. He faces many obstacles throughout his life and never gave up. He grew stronger through his failures which inspire the reader to push past your perceived limits. He encourages you to seek challenges and ignore doubt. This is a powerful book - read this before or after Jordan Peterson’s 12 Rules for Life and you have a potent combo of self-improvement that will launch you in to the stratosphere of peak performance and personal accountability.
