Top Tip: Don’t put out an online ad offering your services as a fake date. Someone will take you up on it.
And it won’t just be for one night.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how I ended up being Mason Jackson’s fake girlfriend.

He didn’t even want me to be. No—his sister was solely responsible for me being his date for his ten-year high school reunion.

Now, she’s responsible for telling his parents our relationship is real.

We have no choice. We have to act like this isn’t all a mistake, like it’s not all fake, like we’re totally, completely, utterly, head-over-heels in love with each other.

Simple, right?

  • Awesomely entertaining

Omg I absolutely loved this story. The whole fake relationship leading to feelings was awesome. You can’t have an Emma book without having some comedic relief. We get some awesome secondary characters. The best is the banter between Lauren and Mason. In my belief i think that their back and forth helps this story and made it more entertaining. I want a Mason for myself! Definitely a 5 star read!
  • Loved it!

4.5 Stars The Accidental Girlfriend is Emma Hart’s latest stand-alone rom-com. OMG you guys-it was hilarious! I don’t know what it is but there is something about Ms. Hart’s witty and sarcastic banter that has me laughing out loud every single time. The Accidental Girlfriend was no different. I adored Mason and Lauren from the get-go. Neither were looking for anything permanent whatsoever. So when Lauren puts an ad out for a fake girlfriend, she wasn’t expecting any response. What could possibly go wrong with one date… I loved this book so much! The chemistry between the main characters was hot as hell and the hilariousness from the start of the book all the way to the end was exactly what I needed. I swear my face hurt from smiling so much. Even with all the laugh out loud moments, the storyline was excellent and the writing was phenomenal. Ms. Hart continues to prove that she is the queen of romantic comedies and I am so looking forward to reading her next! Highly recommend reading this book!
  • Such a fun and light read!

I absolutely had so much fun reading The Accidental Girlfriend by Emma Hart. I laughed so much and loved the chemistry between Mason and Lauren, even if it started as a fake relationship, which are some of the best kinds. They had some amazing banter and interactions and I just loved them! When Lauren places an online ad about being a fake girlfriend, she did not expect Mason Jackson and neither did he! Neither is looking for a relationship, but they cannot deny their chemistry! The story was light and fun read with great characters and story! Happy reading!
  • Get ready for another witty, funny read from Emma Hart!

Get ready for another witty, funny read from Emma Hart! Lauren somehow gets sucked into making an online advertisement for a fake date, and Mason’s sister actually responds! What starts out as a fake date turns into a fake relationship all thanks again to Mason’s sister. With the twist of Mason’s ex-girlfriend thrown into the mix with the added nonexistent filter from Lauren, this book was bound to be as amazing as it was! This was honestly one of the best books that Emma has given us – I could not stop continually laughing and wishing this was the type of stuff that came out of my mouth! Per usual, I love Emma’s style of writing and that her books are the perfect length and provide the perfect amount of context for these stand alones to feel like you’ve been reading about these characters forever. I really can’t get enough of Emma’s books and I can’t wait for the next one, especially since Emma has linked this book and the next together (peep the ending)! I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
  • Laugh out loud, snarky, sarcastic, totally unexpected fun

Laugh out loud, snarky, sarcastic, totally unexpected fun. Lauren’s only relationship is with her surly cat, Henry, that loves to sit on people’s heads. But a girl’s night pushes her to post an ad to be someone’s fake date that is cleverly crafted. Step-in Kirsty, who reaches out to Lauren to line up a fake date for her brother Mason. Mason is totally off relationships after walking in on his girlfriend of 6 years having sex with her boss. Yep, totally not dating. When Kirsty connects him with Lauren, his plan is to decline but then the rapid-fire text messages pull him in and he needs to meet this woman. From there, the sparks never die for Lauren and Mason as Mason handles easily all the sarcasm Lauren slings. Along the way, Lauren gets to meet Mason’s wacky family which she handles with ease. So, will these commitment phoebes realize they have found their true match? I had a blast finding out as they kept me on my toes with their intense and fast-paced banter.
